The world sparkles with flying water
I run brown fingers Over my smooth skin Leaving ochre-red tracks In spirals around my stomach
We splash water Over shallow beds of sea grass Delightful laughter As we run back to shore Collapsing in sunshine and shells To dry in the sand of my red ochre dream
handstandAfternoon With JamieBlue sky arcs above me. The sun is not beating down harshly, but drifting slowly over everything, wrapping me in warmth. My arms and legs are tickled by the warm grass and I roll around in delight. A shadow falls over me and I catch my breath at the familiar shape.Afternoon With Jamie
Jamie stands tall over me, frowning at my dishevelled appearance. I prop myself up on my elbows and watch him as he flops down on the ground next to me. We exchange smiles and casual hellos, and he tells me about his last class and complains about how heavy his textbooks are.
I sit and listen, nodding and smiling at the correct times, while my mind drift
